Kinder Claims 10th Annual American Heritage Classic
(Peebles,
Ohio) The 2010 American Heritage Classic week end kicked off Friday August 7 with a complete one day show headlined
by a $1,000 to win modified race plus crazy compacts and legends. Fifty one modifieds signed in Friday with hopes of taking
home the $1,000 top prize and gaining some valuable track time before The American Heritage Classic main event on Saturday
night. It was Wellsburg, West Virginia's Corey Conley looking like an early favorite for Saturday's American Heritage Classic
main event when he picked up $1,000 Night Before the Heritage feature win in his first ever appearance at the 1/3 mile speed
plant.
The week end wrapped up Saturday August 8 with the 10th annual American
Heritage Classic a complete one day show headlined by the Heritage Classic a modified race in which the winner had the choice
of a new Harley Davidson V-rod Muscle or $10,000 plus late models and crazy compacts. Fifty one modifieds signed with hopes
of claiming the 10th annual American Heritage Classic. Newton, Illinois Chad Kinder bested the stellar field that included
some of the best drivers in the nation.
In the victory lane interview when Kinder was asked what are you think
about right now after pulling it out against some tough competition. He said "When you get lucky enough and that's what it
is you have to have a lot of luck. Everything has to go kinda of right because everybody is good here it's not just one."
"Anybody could have won." While the race may have been over everyone was still wanting to know if Chad was going to
take the Harley or the money. When the question was asked Chad are you going to take the Harley or the $10,000 Kinder
laughed as he said "I'm taking the Harley man!" When Chad was asked what it was like winning a Harley Davison
Motorcycle he said "We have won a few Big Shows in our day, but nothing compares to that." pointing toward the Harley. He
went on to say "That's the only reason we are here, because of that Harley. This is what we came for. This is great"
The American Heritage Classic week end kicked off Friday when Wellsburg,
West Virginia's Corey Conley picked up the feature win. He used a slide job on Milford Ohio's Dustin Webber out of turn four
coming to the white flag lap to take the lead. Once in front a three way battle for second at Conley's rear bumper raged.
Coming through turn four on the final lap Webber tried a slid job on Aaron Morey and Richard Michael Jr. but slid up the track
allowing Chad Kinder and Doug Adkins to get by while Morey and Michael chased Conley across the line.
In other Friday night action it was Peebles Ohio's Dave Jamison picking
up the legend feature win and Bainbridge, Ohio's Rex Smith Jr. taking home another crazy compact feature win.
Weasel Rhoades and Jason Montgomery brought Saturday's American Heritage
Classic main event to the green. Montgomery jumped out to the early lead with Rhoades Chad Kinder and Jared Landers in tow.
Montgomery paced the field until the action was slowed with a lap seven caution when a car looped around in turn three collecting
Doug Adkins.
On the restart, Montgomery maintained the advantage over Kinder who
had slid by Rhoades. Kinder chased front running Montgomery until he made the move under Montgomery's X machine at the flag
stand on lap eleven to claim the lead. Once out front Kinder began to stretch his lead as Montgomery had his hands full with
Weasel Rhoades. Rhoades and Montgomery battled side by side until Rhoades developed a mechanical problem on lap thirty that
forced him pit side. The action was slowed with a lap thirty-seven caution when Jerry Bowersock rolled to a stop in turn one
with a flat tire.
The Delaware double file restart saw Kinder out front by himself while
the field was lined up double file behind him. At the drop of the green Montgomery began to challenge front running Kinder.
Kinder and Montgomery ran side by side before Montgomery reclaimed the lead down the back stretch on lap forty-two. The lead
was short lived for Montgomery. Running the high side out of four he scraped the wall down the front stretch and took his
X machine pit side off turn one with a flat tire ending his night. Kinder was the new leader. Kinder began to stretch his
lead as Jared Landers and Rick Aukland engaged in a fierce battle for second. When Aukland finally got around Landers he began
to close up some ground on front running Kinder, but when the checkered flag waved it was Kinder claiming the 2010 American
Heritage Classic title. Following Kinder across the line were Rick Aukland, Jared Landers, Kevin Morehouse, and Corey Conley
rounding out the top five.
In other Saturday night action it was Minford, Ohio's Audie Swartz
taking the late model feature win and Peebles Ohio's Gerald Campbell getting the crazy compact feature win when John Schooler
was disqualified after a failed post race tech inspection.
Brushcreek Motorsports Complex will take the August 14 week end off.

Conley Claims Night Before the Heritage
(Peebles, Ohio)The 2010 American Heritage Classic
week end kicked off Friday August 6th with a complete one day show headlined by a $1,000 to win modified race plus crazy compacts
and legends. Fifty one modifieds signed in Friday with hopes of taking home the $1,000 top prize and gaining some valuable

and Michael chased Conley across the line.
Bobby Kitchen and Rob Stambaugh brought The Night Before the Heritage
modified feature field to the green. Kitchen jumped out to the early lead with Jess Hartman and Dustin Webber in tow. Kitchen
stretched his lead over the first eleven laps until a caution slowed pace on lap twelve when Joey Kramer spun out of turn
four. On the restart, Kitchen maintained the advantage over Hartman and Webber. The action was slowed just one lap later when
the caution waved when three cars got together in turn one.
On the restart, Kitchen had his hands full with Webber while Hartman and
Weasel Rhoades battled side by side for third. Webber shot to the lead out of turn four on lap sixteen. Lap seventeen saw
Rhoades move his way into second. Now in second Rhoades began to chase Webber down. Rhoades pulled up to the rear bumper of
Webber. Running nose to tail with front running Webber, Rhoades looped his #68 machine on the back stretch bringing out a
lap twenty-one caution.
On the restart, Webber maintained the advantage over Aaron Morey and Corey
Conley. Webber maintained a slight advantage the next seven circuits until Conley who had worked his way up from his sixth
starting position to take second put a slide job on the front running Webber out of turn four coming to the white flag to
claim the lead. Once in front a three way battle for second at Conley's rear bumper raged. Coming through turn four on the
final lap Webber tried a slid job on Aaron Morey and Richard Michael Jr. but slid up the track allowing Chad Kinder and Doug
Adkins to get by while Morey and Michael chased Conley across the line. Conley picked up the $1,000 win followed by Aaron
